This is our national education campaign focused on addressing the use of temporary door-locking devices in schools, or as some call them, “barricade devices.” We believe that with proper education about how these devices are not code-compliant and awareness about the unintended consequences, we can help school administrators make informed decisions to keep their schools safe without employing these dangerous solutions. Honor and Memorial Gifts

Matching Gifts
Did you know that you could double or even triple the impact of your contribution by taking advantage of a charitable matching gift program? A matching gift program is where a company will match contributions to charitable organizations. These matches are often dollar for dollar, which doubles your charitable contribution power. Be sure to check with your company’s human resources or payroll department to see whether it offers a matching gift program.
Gifts of U.S. Stock and U.S. Mutual Funds
Contributions of stock, bonds, mutual funds, and other securities held for more than a year can offer attractive tax incentives while making it possible for you to invest in the Foundation’s groundbreaking efforts. When you give a gift of stock you can avoid capital gains tax and receive income tax deductions equal to the monetary value of your stock gift. (Please note that it is organizational policy to sell all contributions of stock upon receipt.)
